Affordable, long-standing establishment in Santa Fe. Good food, homey environment and great service. Especially enjoyed the tart (not sweet) margaritas and the sautéed (not fried) cod fish tacos. The lemon soufflé was warm and light.

One of the better tasting restaurants from my trip to Santa Fe. This is also a really popular recommendation so it does get quite busy. We had to wait 90 minutes for dinner without reservations on a Tuesday night. I ordered the enchiladas that were MUCH spicier than I was expecting (my spice tolerance is very low) but it was still tasty! I also recommend saving room for the apple pie. It's made in house and for $1 can get it a la mode. The service was fantastic!

Great place for dinner in Santa Fe! We stopped in for a quick dinner and a stamp on the Santa Fe Margarita Trail! People were waiting for tables but we walked right in and sat at the bar-definitely recommend if you want to avoid a long wait and are comfortable eating at the bar next to strangers. Great chips and salsa and the chicken enchilada plate was huge and delicious. I went for "Christmas" and it was fantastic - really big though so bring your appetite! Service was fast and the bartender was super friendly.

The portion was huge !! easily shareable for two people. Very cute inside lots of tables but the place was absolutely slammed. I came on a Friday night and there was an over two hour wait....;( luckily I was able to grab a seat at the bar after about an hour, I would definitely recommend going during the week versus the weekend, the service was quick, but the bartenders weren't super friendly. I think they were overwhelmed with the amount of people.

I was there on vacation for my birthday, my server, Kimberly was A+++, of course we bonded over our names. The place is super cute, I was in a back room I loved. The food was delicious. I had THE BEST JUICE in my lifetime. If I lived there I'd go all the time just for the juice. And the presentation of it is beautiful.

Skip the wait- eat at the bar! I did so, ordered a Green Chili Stew and a Pellegrono. I got there at 1100- The Shed was packed within 20 minute of opening!!! My GCS arrived in about 3 minutes and it was AMAZING. There's a reason The Shed is known as the Best Green Chilie Stew in Santa Fe. I'd prefer nacho chips or even flatbread to Garlic Bread, but the Stew was incredible. Holy balls, was this good. If you're interested in trying GCS, this is the place!!!

Definitely the place that serves the best cocktails. The food is good and fairly priced. Service and ambiance were good and aligned with the Santa Fe culture. The real issue is getting in. Getting a reservation days ahead for the specific day and time is the best possible way to eat at the Shed. If you decide you want to eat there the day of, you are still in luck, but at the mercy of the queue. The restaurant opens at 5pm for dinner, folks begin to line up around 4,for an assigned seating time. The earlier you are in line the earlier you will eat. Get in line at 5 will probably mean a 7-7:30 dinning time. It's tricky?

This place was recommended to us and since we are celebrating our 45th anniversary I checked out their menu and we decided to have dinner in the patio! Our server was Joe and I was watching him take care of 7 tables and he was a pro! Anything the customers wanted he was able to make them happy with their requests! Ok this place did not disappoint the food was excellent! The only thing I couldn't handle was the green chili! The red was perfect and the green was to hot! Now the desert I should have ordered this first, so good and rich!

Very eclectic restaurant with lots of history and good food! I love the decor! The fireplace when you walk in is a nice cozy place to sit and wait for your party to arrive. They will not seat you until all your guests are there. The flavors of the food are wonderful!

It was my first time visiting New Mexico, and I happened to be staying in historic downtown Santa Fe for a conference. During a lunch break, I was interested in finding a restaurant that served food fitting to New Mexico. The Spot happened to capture that and be within walking distance, so off I went! I was starving by the time I arrived, so I wanted to get an appetizer from the start. There were various dip options ranging from different salsas, queso, and guacamole. One nifty dip order was the Dos, allowing me to choose any of the 2 dips. I opted for the queso & guacamole, and it was served fresh with housemade yellow & blue corn tortilla chips. The chips were nice and warm, and both dips were flavorful and delicious. It would have been great to share the Dos with someone, but alas I was by myself and I wasn't too hungry for a full entree. So I opted to get two stews - traditional pozole & green chile stew. I now understand why New Mexico is the chile capital! The green chile stew had the right amount of spice but the flavor of the green chile really enhanced the stew. The pozole had a nice chew and really helped to mellow out the green chile between bites. Both stews weren't too salty, which is what worries me the most about stews. Absolute great introduction to the chile capital!
